We are delighted to announce the appointment of Francesco Pon as Technical Director at Maffi Racing.

Francesco brings a wealth of motorsport experience to the team. Prior to joining Maffi Racing, Francesco served as Technical Director at Inside Racing Academy for teams and drivers in F1, MotoGP, F2, F3, F. Regional and GT series working on team organisation, driver coaching and vehicle/driver performance.

In 2004, Francesco joined Ferrari SpA in Maranello, initially serving as Electronic Systems Support Engineer before becoming a Race and Performance Engineer in the Formula 1 team. In 2008 and 2009 Francesco occupied the position of Chief Engineer for the Formula 1 Test Team prior to his promotion to the position of Technical Director of the Ferrari Driver Academy.

Francesco holds an M.Sc. in Aerospace Engineering, Second class honours from the Bologna University.

Together, we are confident that the team has established a solid platform for driver development in line with our ambitions and commitments to help and extract the full racing potential of our drivers.
